1. Forecasts and safety
RippleForecast provides wave, weather, wind and tide information for general planning and informational purposes. Forecasts are estimates, not guarantees of actual conditions. Models, observations and displayed data may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate or unavailable, and local conditions can change quickly.
Do not rely on RippleForecast as your sole source for navigation, emergency decisions, or decisions about entering the water. It is not an emergency or life-saving service. Check current official forecasts, warnings, navigation information and local conditions, and use appropriate equipment and independent judgment. Contact the relevant emergency service in an emergency.
2. Responsible use
Use the service lawfully and exercise independent judgment when planning your activities. If you contact us or provide information through the service, provide accurate information and do not impersonate another person.
You must have the legal capacity, or any permission required by applicable law, to agree to these terms.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to:
- Break applicable laws or infringe another person's rights.
- Access non-public data or systems without authorization.
- Bypass access controls, usage limits or security measures.
- Disrupt the service, introduce malicious code or overload its infrastructure.
- Remove required attribution or misrepresent the source of forecast information.
Access to any separately licensed API or dataset remains subject to its applicable agreement and limits. Ordinary website access does not grant permission to bypass those requirements.
4. Content and third-party services
Website content, software and branding are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Access to the service does not transfer ownership of them. Third-party maps, data and other materials remain subject to their respective rights, attribution requirements and license terms.
The service may include links to, or integrations with, third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. A link does not by itself mean that we endorse that service or guarantee its information.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Review it alongside these terms. These terms do not replace any consent required by applicable privacy or cookie laws.
6. Availability and access restrictions
Features and data sources may change, and maintenance or failures may interrupt the service. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Any disclaimer or restriction applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or applicable law. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide notice of material changes where required by law. Review the updated terms before continuing to use the service.
